Accountants primarily do work that involves preparing and reviewing financial records. They ensure that financial records are accurate and that taxes are paid properly and on time. Accountants and auditors assess financial operations and work to help ensure that organizations run efficiently.

What Will I Learn? 

The Accounting program prepares students to enter introductory level accounting careers. Education is provided in financial and managerial accounting through the intermediate levels. Tax accounting is also included, and Business and general education is included as well. 

If you intend to transfer after JJC to earn your bachelor's degree, you must pursue our Associate of Arts degree through our Business Transfer Program.
