The president is appointed by the board of trustees and is the chief executive officer of the college.
JJC is directly governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees, all of whom are elected from within the district for six-year terms.
This division encompasses all academic departments, extended campuses and high schools, Community and Economic Development, and the library.
This division encompasses administrative offices and processes, such as the Cafeteria, Bookstore, Student Accounts and Payments, Budgeting/bid processes, Accounts Payable, Custodial, Grounds, Maintenance, Mailroom, Environmental health/safety, Land Lab, & Campus Police.
Encompassing the offices that provide services to students, including Athletics, Admissions, Financial Aid, Counseling and Advising, Registration, Records, Transcript Evaluations, Student Activities, Disability Services, Multicultural student resources, Placement testing, and Career services.
The Human Resources Department provides quality service and assistance to JJC employees and members of the community, promoting the mission and core values of the college.

This division encompasses IT support and help desk services, media services, academic computing labs, and is responsible for securing the campus computing environment.

Resource Development is an integrated function of fundraising, alumni relations, marketing, scholarships and grant-writing that positions JJC to secure external resources and support from stakeholders by demonstrating value, quality, and accountability. The JJC Foundation is also housed in the Resource Development Office.
The Communications and External Relations Office promotes the college and its students, faculty and staff through coordinated media and public relations efforts. In addition, the office also coordinates legislative relations, crisis communications, and Freedom of Information Act requests.
