About Us

UABL is a young company that recently opened up an Autism Learning Center in Morris, IL. Our center offers one-on-one ABA therapy to help children with ASD develop key skills and reach their full potential. We are currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate assistant to join our team.

Position Overview

As an assistant at our center, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. You will work closely with children with ASD, their families, and our dedicated staff to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
Assisting therapists in implementing age-appropriate curricula and activities for children
Providing attentive care and supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of the children
Engaging children in educational and recreational activities
Assisting in maintaining a clean and organized environment
Assisting with meals, toileting, hand washing, curriculum, crafts, etc.
Creating a safe and nurturing environment for the children.
Perform general housekeeping tasks
Job Requirements
Qualifications

Passion for working with children with disabilities and a genuine desire to make a difference in their lives.
Previous experience working with children with ASD or other developmental disorders is preferred.
Strong patience, empathy, and understanding of the needs of children with ASD.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately.
Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Must pass a comprehensive background check.
Lift 25+ lbs (unassisted): No
Lift 50+ lbs (unassisted): No
