Week One
Restoration Workday: Sunday, April 2 at 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
- Meeting at the J Building parking lot.
- Join the Will County Forest Preserve to remove invasive species at JJC with the SU and Natural Science department.
Clean Up in the Agriculture Field: Wednesday, April 5 at 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Meeting at the JJC greenhouse.
- Take care of JJC’s farm fields by removing litter with our Land Lab Manager Julie Barr.
Week Two
Tour LEED Campus: Thursday, April 13 at 12 p.m.-1 p.m.
- Meeting in A building near the entrance.
- Join Professor Maria Rafac for a tour of JJC’s sustainable building on central campus using LEED certification.
EV-E 2023 Electric Vehicle Expo: Saturday, April 15 at 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Community event meeting at JJC’s automotive center near parking lot S6.
- Come to the educational electric vehicle community event in collaboration with the JJC automotive program. There will be electric vehicles on display, informational tables, and educational speakers.

Week Three
Tour of the Campus Greenhouse and Land Lab: Tuesday, April 18 at 10 a.m.-11 a.m.
- Meeting at the Greenhouse parking lot.
- Join Julie Barr for a tour of the Greenhouse and Land Lab.
Rally for Justice: Wednesday, April 19 at 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Community event meeting in Lower J.
- Joliet Jr College’s advocacy groups are uniting to bring together all of Joliet’s community to speak for the justice they want in the world and learn the steps to become an advocate.
Week Four
Natural Areas Tour: Monday, April 24 at 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
- Meeting in picnic grove.
- Join Professor Cheryll Heeneman for a walk through the natural areas and learn more about the jewel of JJC.
Houbolt Clean Up: Wednesday, April 26 at 12 p.m.-2 p.m.
- Meeting in the greenhouse parking lot.
- Help take care of Joliet by picking up litter outside JJC.
Party in the Arbie: Friday, April 28 at 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Meeting at the arboretum across from the T and U building parking lot.
- Come celebrate the newly certified Dr William Zales arboretum on campus with food, music, lawn games, poetry readings, leaf pressing, yoga, meditation, tours of the trees, and the announcement of our raffle winners.
