The Joliet Junior College Culinary Arts Department will host the Wandering Feast on Friday, April 27 from 6-9 p.m. This is the second year for the event, which takes place at the college’s City Center Campus located at 235 N. Chicago St. in Joliet.
At Wandering Feast, guests can roam through four stories of the center while grazing on food prepared by culinary students and chefs. Mingle with attendees as you try exquisite dishes from around the world. In addition to the wonderful food and pastries, there will be craft beers from Brickstone Brewery and Pollyanna Brewing, as well as a selection of red and white wines.
The event gives guests a chance to see the college’s state-of-the-art kitchens utilized by JJC students each day as they pursue a career in the culinary industry.
Tickets are $75 each and only 400 tickets will be sold for the event. All proceeds after expenses go towards culinary arts scholarships, faculty professional development opportunities and educational equipment purchases.

One of the top culinary programs in the nation, JJC’s Culinary Arts program offers classroom learning and hands-on experience in a first-class environment. The City Center Campus, which opened in January 2017, also houses community and continuing education courses and the Workforce Education Department. Culinary program features include 13 commercial kitchens, and two student-run restaurants and a café.
