Census 2020 Informational Session

The JJC Library, in partnership with the President's Diversity and Inclusion Council, The Spanish Community Center and the U.S. Census Bureau, will present an information session regarding the 2020 U.S. Census on March 4.

Many of the services and resources you depend on receive funding based on census results. If there is an undercount, those resources could be lost and the state could lose political representation in Congress.

Speakers at the event will include Verenise Alvarez, Get Out the Count (GOTC) campaign coordinator with the Spanish Community Center, and Vinita Voss, partnership specialist with the Chicago Regional Census Center for the U.S. Census Bureau.

Students are encouraged to bring their families to learn more at this free program, which is open to the public and will be held in both English and Spanish.

Located on the sixth floor of JJC's City Center Campus (235 N. Chicago Street, Joliet) in room CCTR-6005.

You can also watch the live stream of the event at JJC's Main Campus in the Library or at JJC's Romeoville Campus in room RMA-1019.

This event is sponsored by the JJC Library, the President's Diversity and Inclusion Council, the Spanish Community Center and the U.S. Census Bureau.
