The American Heart Association (AHA) offers several different types of CPR classes, depending on the needs of the student. Information on this page pertains to the Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider classes for healthcare providers.
The AHA BLS Provider class is geared toward individuals working in the healthcare field. This class teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for use in pre-hospital and hospital environments.
Students can choose between CPR 120 (in-person class), or CPR 125 (blended course).
Students will learn the techniques of CPR/AED for infants, children and adults, as well as how to assist a choking victim. Students participate in skills practice and testing, and will complete a written exam. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a AHA CPR certification card that is valid for two years.
If you are interested in a basic CPR class, or are required to obtain CPR certification for child care, please call 815-280-1555 to learn more.CPR Spring 2020 Schedule
