Why Take a GED™ Prep or Basic Skills Course?

These courses will help you review skills you'll need to prepare for a high school equivalency exam, but they can also help you land a new job or get ready for college.

Thinking about going to college? We can help you make that transition. Free tutors are also provided to students. Contact our staff to find out more about how we can help: DAELstaff@jjc.edu, phone number: 815-280-1333.

Who Can Attend Our Free Classes

If you are an adult or ages 16 or older, you're eligible to attend (as long as you are not also attending high school). JJC also encourages ESL students to take our classes and those who want to brush up on their basic skills. Even if you have your high school diploma (or something similar), you can still take our free classes as a refresher or to prepare for college.
