Operational Departments
Operational departments support the general campus environment by providing communications, technology,
employee assistance, purchasing, and more.
Encompasses the purchasing and bid processes, bookstore, food service-cafeteria and banquet facility,
mailroom, shipping and receiving, early childhood center and the switchboard.
Promotes the college and its students, faculty and staff through comprehensive and coordinated media and
public relations efforts.
Encompasses custodial, maintenance, environmental safety, planning/construction, roads/grounds, and
facility scheduling (including iService desk).
Provides quality service and assistance to JJC employees and members of the community, promoting the mission
and core values of JJC.
Encompasses administrative computing, end user computing office (PCHELP), networking services and
telecommunications.
Provides media and technical support to the college, including assistance for smart rooms, photography and
video, TV satellite services, and media equipment.
Offers duplicating, printing, and binding services for the college, with high volume machines as well as walk-up and coin operated copiers.
