Welding Technology

According to the American Welding Society (AWS), half of our nation’s total gross national product includes welding work, products and services. Welding has become increasingly more technical and scientific in recent years.

What Will I Learn?

A welder fuses materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum together to create mechanisms or to fix things that are broken. Students will have the opportunity to prepare for a career in the maintenance, structural or pipe welding fields.

Basic welding skills are the same across industries, which means that welders can easily shift from one industry or location to another.

What is Unique About Our Welding Program?

Job opportunities are best for welders that are trained in the latest technologies. This training can be obtains at JJC and its state-of-the-art welding facility.

What Degree or Certificate Will I Receive?

What Are My Career Opportunities?
